Free Union Cabin

This private guest house, once a classic Sears & Roebuck log cabin, is nestled into the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Though rich with character, it had begun to show signs of age and needed thoughtful maintenance and a fresh perspective. In collaboration with Dalgliesh Gilpin Paxton Architects, we restored its original charm while elevating its comfort through thoughtful architectural and interior design. The space was revitalized and complemented with a new outdoor seating area—creating a welcoming retreat that celebrates both its historic roots and its renewed purpose.
