Gibson Magerfield Edenali is committed to carrying on the legacy of highly skilled craftsmanship and attention to detail
Upon graduation from Centre College of Kentucky and the Universita per Stranieri, Perugia, Italy, D. Jameson (Jamie) Gibson spent several years training as a restoration craftsman with the Fairfax County Park Authority History Department and with the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
This training enabled him to offer specialized services for the restoration and preservation of significant historic structures.
In 1977, he joined University of Virginia graduate James (Jim) A. Magerfield to form Home Preservation Inc. Magerfield’s background in history and years in a family business in Winchester, Virginia, allowed the organization to grow from a small specialized firm to a more broad-based general contracting company.
The company‘s name was changed to Gibson/Magerfield Corp. in 1985.
They developed the reputation as a general contractor dedicated to craftsmanship. Over the years, it was the policy of the organization to utilize personnel and subcontractors who exhibited the highest degree of quality in their work and who were most suitable for a specific project.
Edenali Inc was formed in 2007 by five brothers who specialized in providing carpentry services to other builders as well as general contracting.
They quickly became known for their quality of craftsmanship and integrity in business. Gibson/Magerfield recognized their talent and contracted with Edenali Inc on several projects. That was the beginning of a relationship that resulted in the merging of the two companies into what is now known as Gibson Magerfield Edenali.
Gibson Magerfield Edenali is committed to carrying on the legacy of highly skilled craftsmanship and attention to detail whether they are preserving historic buildings or constructing new custom homes. The principals of the company act as the project managers, offering a more personalized, high-level service to their customers and a greater attention to detail.
Historically they have teamed up with design professionals to successfully complete residential, historical, garden, and farm projects. This work has given them the experience and ability to work through the problems confronted by any custom builder and gives the customer the quality product they expect.
